Pinkett holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University; a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Oxford University, having attended Keble College as a Rhodes Scholar; an S.M. in EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management, as an MIT Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM) fellow; and a Ph.D. from the MIT Media Laboratory. According to his website, he was also an academic All-American at Rutgers.
